Right-handed Pakistani batsman Babar Azam has spoken up about being compared to Indian captain Virat Kohli, saying that he believes that Kohli is a completely different batsmen, and he has his own style.
The 22-year-old who outperformed in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017 while playing for Karachi Kings, looks confident for the upcoming series against West Indies. He said that he has his own batting style and does not want to be compared with Kohli.
Earlier, Umar Akmal had said that Babar Azam was the right person to be compared with the Indian batting talent.
The batsman also revealed that he was focusing on his bowling as he wishes to play as an all-rounder in the future.
Pakistani pacer Hasan Ali also shared his opinion with the media in a talk that was held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Monday.
Hasan said that veteran fast-bowler Waqar Younis had always been his idol. The 23-year-old said that he grew up watching the cricket legend’s brutal, toe-crushing yorkers.
